to all the mother's out there…
Happy Mother’s Day! A tribute to all of you who have forever chosen to wear your heart outside your body π Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your lives. I am forever grateful. Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever — unknown peace and much love ♥ anya
a couple 'o my wee peeps …
We had the pleasure of having dinner with some wonderful Wisconsin doc’s this past week… Their home was a kid paradise…with none other than a pony and a beautiful horse! Annika was insistent that she be able to hop on the pony. Mommy was insistent (of course) that she get some pictures. Mommy was also thrilled to discover that young child on pony = no running away from photos. YAY! This pose was all Annika’s idea … all this crazy dude would let me get of him…little nut! π peace, and much (pony) love ♥ anya
going big is great!
This past year I have walked into past client homes for second, third, and even fourth sessions…and it has been such a joy to see my work hanging proudly in their homes. My favorites are big canvas…and I could not wait to see how Elissa’s mama and daddy had hung this one. You can really never go wrong with a large canvas. It is one big beautiful piece of art…that represents YOU! Soon I will share how one of *my* fave photographers, who photographed my family this past October, decorated my home with canvas. I walk in my home every day and smile at the gorgeous art work that is *my* beautiful family.
Elissa turns one!
I have been photographing this wee one since she was in her mama’s belly and I have loved every minute of it! We had the best time playing last weekend. She rocked my world on both cake eating AND tutu wearing π her cake was sooooo pretty that I couldn’t resist a few in color …and here are a few of my absolute FAVE’s!!! nothing like a little cake tossing… peace and much love ♥ anya
mt. rushmore . . .
This past summer (if September is still considered summer?) my children and I were able to do something I have been wanting to do FOREVER. Go to Mt. Rushmore! Since my husband is from South Dakota, I always relied on his opinion that it “wasn’t that much to see”. Well I am here to state that he was dead WRONG. We had the best time! It was so worth the extra driving we had to do to get to it. Even the little ones were fascinated. . . Rya…my budding little photographer π and the part that freaks me out about her being a “budding little photographer”…the attempts at photographing mommy…fortunately the photo from the other end is nowhere to be found! Huh…wonder how that happened? peace and much love, ♥ anya
baby elissa is growing up!
I had the pleasure of photographing this wee one just a few days after she was born. These photographs were taken back in August when she was 6 months old and I realized that I had not blogged them! Shame on me!!!! And why am I so shameful? Because in a couple of weeks I will be taking her ONE year old photos…and here I still haven’t blogged the ones from her 6 month old session. Ooops! Sorry baby girl π I promise to do better next time… she LOVES having a towel on her head…LOL! peace and much love ♥ anya
coffee with the anderson's . . .
On my last photo session visit to Madison, my family and I were able to spend some time with our best buddies….the Anderson family. We all got jacked up on caffeine, had some great food, great conversation, and watched our kids play with each other. That ended up being Zebby irritating his sister and making her cry (thus needing her mommy), Annika adopting another family in the store and playing a rousing game of Memory with them, and Rowan doing what Rowan’s do best….Eat! I will have to admit that I totally MISS Ancora coffee in Fitchburg. They have this yogurt and granola breakfast that is to DIE for! I will also have to admit that their coffee is pretty darn great as well π On a side note…to get rid of the 7 million spam comments I had in my account, I inadvertently had to delete all comments. Okay, I will admit it, it wasn’t me…it was my computer geek. π It was a ton of comments and I am so sad to see them gone from my blog, but so thankful to all that took the time to comment. From now on, however, comments work. peace, much love,…
dylan turns one!
Yet another little wee man I photographed one year ago…when he was teeny…and tiny… Now he is all grown up and eating cake (and apparently candles too!). Dylan also loves to read….this was by far one of my FAVE photos from this session. And this one…this one just cracked me up! π peace and much love ♥ anya

Does she not just have the CUTEST little baby face? Want me to photograph your little baby face? I have a few weekend openings left in March! Let me know you saw this on my blog and receive a $50 print credit to be used towards your booked session. and many more faces….. π peace, much love, and baby smiles ♥ anya
splish splash…Jaxon turns ONE!
this cute little bub gave me a great big hug the minute I walked in the door! I think he knew we were going to eat cake and splash in the bathtub… because THAT is the kind of fun Anya likes to have at one year old baby sessions. π did someone say CAKE? cake + tired Jaxon = MESS!!! more catching up coming soon! peace and much love ♥ anya
