what do I do with all the images from my session?
I get this question a lot. People are overwhelmed because they want ALL the images from their session. But they want them in a way they can be displayed yet not cover every single wall in their home. They don’t want them tucked away on some computer file…hidden from view. That is where Keepsake Albums come in. You can choose 20 (or more in the case of this family) images from your session and have them placed in a beautiful album with thick pages and luxurious (and I don’t say that mildly…I honestly wish I had a coat in this) fabrics…and you get to choose the color and the images. This album can be displayed on an easel in your home for constant peeking and admiring 🙂

meet Beckett E. Leopold
…and I do hope I spelled that right. I have had the honor and the pleasure of being friends with Beckett’s parents for over 10 years. I have also had the honor of being at each one of their births. At Beckett’s birth I missed out on taking many photos as I was too busy being present in the moment. Which was fabulous for me (not so much for his mama 😉 One of the greatest blessings for me is knowing that two people who were not able to be physically present in this world for the beautiful experience of meeting and knowing Beckett, were, however, honored in his name. Beckett’s aunt Becky and my husband Erik passed away literally within two weeks (to the day) of one another. The combination of the name Beckett (Becky) and E. (both Erik as well as Beck-E) is in honor of these two beautiful people who could no longer be present in this world, but will be present in spirit as Beckett grows up. The name Leopold is a whole different story. I think the entire name suits him beautifully! peace, hugs, and much baby love, ♥ anya

This tiny little man came to visit me for a studio test in what is now to be my new shared studio space with Mandie Haberman of Red Gecko Studio www.redgeckostudio.com. When I asked his parents for his name, they told me that they would like to give me one, but they hadn’t quite named him yet 😉 They call him “mouse” (among many other cute little names), but I felt like mouse suited him so well… Especially after one of my kids came up behind me while I was editing this first image and said “awwww, he looks like a cute little mouse”. Ok babies…there seems to be some kind of conspiracy out there to poop and pee on Anya these days. Let’s just get it straight now. It is ok to poop and pee on mom and dad… we wait for THOSE moments to poop and pee … Anya prefers to stay dry 🙂 Its funny because usually I am the one to stay dry. But these days my feet have taken quite a beating, lol! 😉 I have to admit I am a lover of baby names. Erik and I worked hard on our baby names… we had our kids named WELL before they were born. And when I say well before, I mean when we were only like 14 weeks along. Access to technology went a long way in name and nursery planning! When I go through my blog, I don’t think there is even one baby name repeated here. I find that pretty amazing. I can’t wait to see what the next baby’s name is going to be… (and btw, I just love the name bronwyn rose…I think it suits her beautifully, don’t you?). I was ever so thankful to get my hands on another little newbie yesterday! We spent the morning together cuddling, posing, and cuddling some more. Thank you lovely Hooker family for allowing me into your home during this precious time in your lives.
