I think at 4 lbs. 2 oz., Mila is officially the tiniest baby I have photographed. I am so glad I was able to capture these images of her on this day as we ended up having to do a reschedule for the rest of her images due to this gloomy, rainy Wisconsin September weather. It just figures that once I leave the sun decides to come out. Doesn’t she have the most beautiful little delicate features? Oh my goodness, she was just a little bundle of sweet peanut in my arms! Can’t wait until I see you again little tiny beauty! Smooch!!! ♥ anya

I had so much fun photographing this absolutely stunning mommy and her little girl Maggie! Maggie has such an awesomely expressive personality that I ended up burning a lot of calories attempting to document it. Which was a good thing. Because they fed me a Gigi’s cupcake. I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful expecting family this past weekend. I knew someday my incredible knowledge of Sponge Bob Square Pants would come in handy! I happen to be one of the few adults who finds absolute poetry in Sponge Bob … I would probably marry him if he wasn’t a sponge. Of course, I say that about a lot of people. My list of potential future husbands is very very long 😉 I cannot wait to photograph what I am sure is an absolutely gorgeous little girl inside this mama’s beautiful belly. My weekend is always complete when I get to spend it with a fresh new baby and family! Oscar and I had a lovely time hanging out together… and this time I even managed to get a few images of big brother Henry as well 🙂 I will call this next collection “Anatomy of a newborn plus sibling session”. The first time I met Henry was during his mama’s maternity photo session. Henry wanted nothing to do with me. No amount of bribery would get him to befriend my lens. So when I showed up for baby brother Oscar’s newborn session I wasn’t expecting to get much out of Henry. Amazingly enough, with the help of the infamous “Green Monkey” 😉 , we managed a few shots…. First we had to photograph a wrapped “Green Monkey” plus Henry. Once Green Monkey was removed (as you can see below) Henry wasn’t so sure about adding Oscar to the picture. I think the last image is my favorite. It isn’t necessarily always about capturing what we may envision the perfect portrait to be … it is about capturing a moment in time. Welcome to the world beautiful Avi. At three weeks old, Avi was an amazing sleeper! I was so sure this session was going to go on the long side, however much to my surprise we finished early 🙂 Loves me some baby toesies!
