Scrolling down my blog you will find a lot of babies in various stages of first through second year development. Why? Well for one, I love babies and will do just about anything to spend a few hours hanging out and giggling with them. Two, I have this awesome program called The Baby Plan where clients receive a pre-booking discount. This year I am incorporating some additional awesome goodies into my Baby Plan, so stay tuned (ie stalk my blog and follow me on my Facebook business page) 😉 Emily loves her daddy She loves her mommy too And basically, she is just pretty darn cute Since it was almost Halloween, we had to capture a few of her in her adorable elephant costume. peace, much love, and elephant smooches ♥ anya

On September 18, 2012 at 12:34 am I became the next best thing to a mama. I became an auntie! What auntie could resist the urge to fly to California to photograph her sweet beautiful niece? Certainly not this one! meet Adriana And what would a newborn post be without a little baby storyboard? I love baby parts! ♥ And since, of course, I am a photographer … I can’t manage to get actual professional photographs of myself. A tiny glimpse into my awesome trip (almost all of it spent cuddling sweet baby Adriana): peace, much love, and sweet baby niece cuddles ♥ anya

So it appears, once again, that I am WAY behind blogging. Especially considering that this little sweetie is now 3 months old! Photographing another photographer’s family is nerve-wracking, at best. Fortunately these guys made it easy and awesomely fun. You can also meet sweet Madeline and her beautiful family during her first few hours of life here: http://www.anyawait.com/2012/09/25/simply-fresh-madison-wisconsin-hospital-newborn-photographer/ And yes, I can also document your family’s memories on special days like this as well. Contact me at anya@anyawait.com for more details. Madeline | day 7 Madeline’s beautiful sisters And since I can’t get by without a baby yawn sequence … Madeline officially goes down in history as the baby who can yawn the longest. I actually had to eliminate quite a few shots from this sequence. Yeah, she yawns that long … peace, much love, and baby yawns ♥ anya

It is always an honor to be asked to photograph a family for multiple babies as their family grows. I photographed big brother Dylan (shown below cuddling his baby brother) when he was a wee 10 days old 3 1/2 years ago. Meet sweet Brendan. Aren’t his lips absolutely smooch-able? ♥ Brendan and big brother Dylan peace, much love, and baby smooches! ♥ anya

I had a “most excellent” time photographing this gorgeous baby and family last month! Since the UW Arboretum has started charging photographers $30 per session to photograph there I have had to become a bit more creative with my on-location sessions. This lovely session took place at the beautiful Olin-Turville Park. Who knew an un-used lifeguard stand could make for such an awesome family photo 😉 peace, much love, and family hugs ♥ anya

It isn’t every day that I get a newborn this fresh! I see most newborns on days 6-8 post birth as that is the best time to achieve the types of images you find in my portfolio. For a variety of reasons we scheduled Avery on day 5. She was, as all babies are, awesome! Even her big sister posed for me! And then we attempted the impossible… The coveted sibling image. Which tends to work, or not work. OR it captures a moment in time that may not be traditional portrait perfection, but instead captures what life is really like between two tiny siblings. Which is why I simply adore this image!
